Planks that buckle, joints that gap, floors that creak and bounce — these are symptoms of subfloor issues that were never addressed. An uneven substrate causes floating floor joints to fail under pressure. Moisture without a barrier causes LVP to lift and warp. A subfloor that wasn’t fastened correctly flexes and makes noise with every step.
Fixing these issues after the floor is installed is expensive and disruptive. Addressing them before installation is a few hours and a fraction of the cost. That’s why it’s the first thing we do on every project.
